A new film and pop culture podcast has been launched by FrightFest’s Paul McEvoy and filmmaker Jake West.
The podcast, titled Stark Raving Cinema, will be brought to audiences fortnightly and will be presented by FrightFest founder Paul McEvoy and produced by filmmaker Jake West (Doghouse, Evil Aliens).
The guest-based series will kick off with celebrated filmmaking duo Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson (Something In The Dirt, Loki) and actor, director, novelist Andy Nyman(Ghost Stories, The Warlock Effect). Next up, on May 28, is a special interview with Issa Lopez (Tigers Are Not Afraid, True Detective: Night Country).
Further guests lined up for Season 1 include: Ted Raimi (The Quarry, Failure!), Ti West (Maxxxine, Pearl), Corin Hardy (The Nun, Gangs Of London), Brandon Cronenberg (Infinity Pool, Possessor), Roxane Mesquida (Rubber,Kaboom), Steve Oram (Sightseers, A Dark Song), Jennifer Reeder (Perpetrator, Knives & Skin) and Joanne Mitchell (Broken Bird, Bait).
The podcast will also be available via Spotify and other major platforms
Stark Raving Cinema is presented by Paul McEvoy and produced by Jake West, with original music by renowned film composer, Simon Boswell (Shallow Grave, Santa Sangre). Graphic design by award winning designer and animator Ashley Thorpe (Borley Rectory, Uncanny) with web design and digital content created by up-and-coming film director Aaron Truss (The Rob Knox Story, Pareidolia).
