It has just been announced that STUDIOCANAL has picked up the Cannes-debuting The Apprentice. The film stars Sebastian Stan (Pam & Tommy) as Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong (Succession) as the firebrand Roy Cohn, Martin Donovan (Tenet) as Fred Trump Sr, and Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) as Ivana Trump. It premieres this Monday in Cannes.
The feature is directed by Ali Abbasi and written by Gabe Sherman.

THE APPRENTICE is a dive into the underbelly of the American empire. It charts a young Donald Trump’s ascent to power through a Faustian deal with the influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn.
The will be released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland in 2024.
