STUDIOCANAL has dropped the very first trailer for Paddington In Peru, the third film in the hugely popular British family movies based on the beloved books. You can watch the Paddington In Peru trailer in all of its glory below.
HughBonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Carla Tous and Jim Broadbent are among the cast this time around with Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton both returning as the voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy.
The new film, due in November, brings Paddington’s story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an?unexpected journey?through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.
The last movie was released eight years ago to glowing reviews. Paddington 2 is widely regarded to be one of the greatest family movies of all time. We agree.
The Paddington In Peru trailer comes with the confirmation that the film will arrive on UK screens from 8th November, just in time for the lead up to Christmas which is bound to make it a sure-fire hit. Fans stateside will have to wait a little while, though. The film will not release there until February.
This looks so good. As you may see in the trailer, Sally Hawkins isn’t present after confirming that she handed over the role of Emily Brown in this new movie.
“For me it has felt the right time to hand the reins over to another, and one can’t get much better than the truly wonderful Emily Mortimer, she is extraordinarily special. She will embody the essence of Mary Brown and yet make it utterly her own. However, I am, and will always be in love with Paddington’s world. I already greatly miss my on and off-screen family – the experience of making the first two films has truly been some of the best and most creative times I have had in the world of film. They both gave me so much joy. I will forever hold them so very close to my heart indeed.”
Also absent from the new film is director Paul King who directed the first two movies. Accomplished commercials director Dougal Wilson takes the helm this time around.
