The Wasp movie trailer has landed. This is the new film led by Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer adapted by Morgan Lloyd Malcom from her acclaimed play of the same name. The movie has a U.S. release through Shout! Studios and XYZ Films set for select cinemas at the end of August. This looks great.
The Wasp is described as a sharp, twisty tale about two estranged childhood friends, Heather (Harris) and Carla (Dormer), who reunite for a cup of tea after not having spoken in many years. At their meeting, Heather presents a very unexpected proposition that will change their lives forever.

The feature is described as an emotionally intense psychological thriller and is directed by Guillem Morales. It had its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, where it was received to great acclaim.
The movie is set in the UK and comes following the play which was at staged initially at London’s Trafalgar Studios back in 2015. Laura Donnelly and MyAnna Buring were the leads in that production. The Wasp movie trailer shows what we can expect from the incoming movie version.
Check it out below. No sign of a UK release yet but the film will land in select U.S. theatres from 30th August of this year. An official website has also been set up for more info.
