Trailer for horror movie ‘Lore’ following successful festival run

A trailer has landed for Lore, a new horror film which was premiered at last year’s FrightFest event in London. The film is coming to the Icon Film Channel from next month. The Lore trailer can be seen below.

Richard Brake, Andrew Lee Potts, Bill Fellows and Rufus Hound lead the cast of the movie which is described as a love-letter to classic horror.

The official synopsis is as follows: Four young thrill-seeking friends book a horror-themed camping excursion led by Darwin, a strange and eccentric guide. One night around the campfire, Darwin encourages them to tell the scariest and most twisted story they can think of. As they recount tales of sinister spirits and malevolent demons, the group soon realises that these stories will have very real consequences for them all.

We said that the film is ‘very much that of being sat around a campfire with friends recounting scary ideas.’ We liked it as you can tell from our Lore review from last year. Check it out at the end of the link.

Anthology films are always a tricky prospect for the viewer. With several voices telling their own story in their own style it can be hard for the audience to figure out ahead of time if there will be anything that they will engage with. Typically though there will be at least one story to please everyone. Lore sticks to the scattergun approach, each of its stories trying to cover a cornerstone of the horror genre. Tales of demons, ghosts, the occult, and killers populate Lore, and the varied styles and tones should mean that most people will come away at least partially satisfied.

Lore will be available exclusively in the UK on the Icon Film Channel from 26th August, in select UK Cinemas from 27th September and then on Digital Download from 21st October.
