Searchlight Pictures has released the teaser trailer for A Complete Unknown, the forthcoming film with Timothée Chalamet appearing as a nineteen year old Bob Dylan. The feature will be released in cinemas in January 2025.
According to the press notes, the movie will follow 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s (Timothée Chalamet) meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
The film is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, Ford v Ferrari). Edward Norton (Fight Club, Birdman), Elle Fanning (The Great, Maleficent), Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick), Boyd Holbrook (Logan, The Bikeriders), Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Walking Dead), Norbert Leo Buzt (Dan in Real Life), and Scoot McNairy (Argo, 12 Years A Slave) are also among the cast
