Pigeon Shrine FrightFest has announced the inclusion of the World Premiere Restoration screening of The Hitcher, which replaces Bagman on the Friday night in the Main screen at 8.30pm.
Second Sight Films’ highly anticipated 4K remaster of Robert Harmon’s cult thriller is finally unleashed. No sooner does naive Jim Halsey pick up highway menace John Ryder, he’s stalked by the icy superpsycho and framed for his serial crimes. Waitress Nash tries to help the persecuted victim but the paranoid twists and mounting body count rev the shocks into high homicidal gear.
C. Thomas Howell, Rutger Hauer, Jennnifer Jason Leigh, and Jeffrey DeMunn lead the cast of The Hitcher.
