A new TV series based in the world of John Wick is on the way with Keanu Reeves and series director Chad Stahelski on board as executive producers.
The word on the street is the the series, titled John Wick: Under the High Table, is a sequel to the John Wick movies with the events taken after the thrilling fourth chapter in the feature run. Robert Levine (The Old Man, Black Sails) is the creative force behind proceedings as show runner and writer. Stahelski will direct the pilot episode with the concept being shopped around town to potential buyers.
The concept is as follows:
“John Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenuous position and a collection of new characters will look to make a name for themselves while some of the franchise stalwart characters remain committed to the old-world order. The series will combine new and old and thrust the Wick universe into a new age.”
The planned show comes following The Continental, a prequel to the movies which was released on Peacock stateside and on Prime Video in the UK.
