To celebrate next week’s release of courtroom drama The Goldman Case we have an exclusive clip to share from the film to share.
The film is written and directed by Cédric Kahn and features an impressive cast that includes Arieh Worthalter in a performance which earned him a César for Best Actor.
The synopsis for the film is below.
The appeal hearing of Jewish far-left political activist Pierre Goldman (Arieh Worthalter, Girl) is set to begin. Sentenced to life imprisonment for four armed robberies, one of which resulted in the death of two women, Goldman pleads not guilty to the murder charges. The high-profile court proceedings transform Goldman into a romantic figure and a hero of the intellectual left, even as the relationship with his young attorney Georges Kiejman (Arthur Harari, Anatomy of a Fall, Academy Award®, BAFTA®, and César Winner for co-writing Best Screenplay) frays. Ever the agitator for his ideals, the elusive and mercurial Goldman throws his own trial into chaos, risking a death sentence.
The film played at the Cannes Film Festival last year and then went on to screen at a variety of other international film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival last October.
The Goldman Case hits UK and Irish cinemas from 20th September.
