‘The Penguin’ series gets a new trailer following episode one

What’s to come in future weeks.

Today (in the UK) saw the release of the highly anticipated DC series, The Penguin. Episode one dropped onto Sky Atlantic earlier on following a debut on Max on Thursday and, to tease what is to come over the next seven episodes, a new trailer has been released.

The series, executive produced by Matt Reeves, director of The Batman, has gone off with a strong start. I caught the first episode earlier today and liked what I saw. It has this kind of ‘Sopranos’ vibe with Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb channelling Tony Soprano, particularly in the striking opening scene. There’s also the relationship with his mother which you can see more of in this tease.

The cast of this show includes Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Carmen Ejogo, and Theo Rossi.

And there’s also Mark Strong but I will leave off who he plays despite the character being revealed in the opening moments.

There might be spoilers contained within for those who haven’t seen the first episode of this exciting new show. You’ve been warned.

New episodes stream Sundays at 9 pm ET starting September 29th with Sky Atlantic dropping at the same time (2am BST).
