Christopher Nolan is to re-team with his Oppenheimer studio, Universal, for his next project, believed to have Matt Damon in the lead role.
The as-yet-unnamed film will be released in cinemas in the summer of 2026, specifically 17th July, in line with the last few Nolan movies which have favoured a summer debut. The film will be debuted on screens three years since Oppenheimer which finally brought Nolan Oscar glory.
Nolan wrote the screenplay for the new movie, and will direct for the studio with partner Emma Thomas producing alongside him.
The word over at Deadline is that the planned film will start shooting in the early part of 2025.
Oppenheimer grossed $975 million at the global box-office and won seven Oscars including Best Picture.
More as it comes in.
