A trailer has landed for The Penguin Lessons, a film set for screens next Spring starring Steve Coogan and directed by Peter Cattaneo (Military Wives).
Jonathan Pryce, Vivian El Jaber, Björn Gustafsson, Alfonsina Carrocio, and David Herrero are also among the cast of the film which had its world premiere at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.
It is based on Tom Michell’s feelgood memoir of the same name.
According to the press notes, the film follows an Englishman’s personal and political awakening after he adopts a penguin during a cataclysmic period in Argentine history. Jeff Pope (Philomena) wrote the screenplay.
Coogan was recently seen in October’s Joker sequel and is currently on stage in London in a new version of Dr. Strangelove (which I have heard great things about).
