Tom Holland to lead new John Grisham adaptation

Adding the feature to a long line of projects.

Tom Holland has added another movie to his upcoming list of projects. The British actor is to lead an adaptation of a near thirty year old John Grisham novel over at Universal Pictures.

The project is a big screen version of The Partner, the 1997 Grisham novel about a Mississippi law firm partner who stole $90 million from one of his clients and then faked his death. The news of his casting came through Variety.

Amazon has the full synopsis for The Partner:

Patrick S. Lanigan died in a car crash in February 1992.

He left behind a mourning wife, young daughter and bright future.

Six weeks after his death, ninety million dollars disappeared from the law firm he’d worked at.

It was then that his partners knew he was still alive.

And the chase was on . . .

The Partner is at Universal where Holland is next expected to film Christopher Nolan’s latest epic based on The Odyssey. He also has Spider-Man 4 going before cameras at some point and then the next couple of Avengers movies for Marvel.
