There are some hot rumours going around that singer and actor Ariana Grande is to be the star of the new ‘Matrix’ movie that is in development.
Drew Goddard is developing the new version of the hit 1990s sci-fi blockbuster which was first announced back in April of last year.
There were rumours last week that Will Smith might be the one for the new reboot but those mumblings have since gone quiet.
Online scooper @MyTimeToShineH (via SFFGazette) is reporting that Grande may be being eyed for the lead role in the new movie after wanting to land more movie roles following a hugely successful turn in Wicked.
There’s no much more to this story than that but we’re assuming that casting on The Matrix [reboot/ sequel] will ramp up pretty soon.
Last Easter, when the film was announced, Warner Bros. Motion Pictures president of production Jesse Ehrman teased that the story will advance the fantasy world without straying too far from what made the series a success.
We cannot wait to see what they come up with.
