A small screening of the next ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie has reportedly taken place and it looks like we might be in for a treat with episode number eight in the movie series. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be released through Paramount Pictures this summer and the word from that screening is that it is going to be an intense ride.
Christopher McQuarrie spoke with British movie mag Empire about the film and revealed that they had a small screening very recently. It sounds like it isn’t for the faint of heart.
He told the magazine:
“We had a small screening, and someone said, ‘I was suffocating throughout the entire sequence. I almost had a heart attack’. And I thought ‘I guess we did something right’.”
There’s no mention of which sequence he is referring to, but the recent trailer suggest all sorts of action sequences featuring Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and the rest of the cast which includes, [deep breath], Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Holt McCallany, Angela Bassett, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Katy O’Brian, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Stephen Oyoung, Mariela Garriga, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell and Frederick Schmidt.
The film opens in cinemas on 23rd May.
