The trailer for the upcoming Paramount+ limited series Happy Face has been released. The show, set for screens on the streamer later this year, stars Annaleigh Ashford and Dennis Quaid as the Happy Face Killer.
This eight-episode series is coming to Paramount+ on March 20th with the first two episodes dropping that day and the rest airing weekly.
Inspired by a true-life story, Happy Face tells the story of Melissa Reed, daughter of Keith Jesperson, aka the Happy Face Killer. After decades of no contact, Keith forces his way back into his daughter’s life, and Melissa must find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed. In the process, she must face a reckoning of her own identity.
This looks great with Paramount+ proving that they are a great destination for these kind of shows. This has a great cast; Ashford, a Tony winner with credits like Kinky Boots and Sunday in the Park With George on stage to her name, as well as the Showtime series Masters of Sex. Quaid was last seen in the brilliant, now Oscar-nominated The Substance as sleazy TV boss Harvey.
