Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are reportedly in talks to reprise their roles in a sequel to Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion. The news comes some 28 years since the release of the original comedy in 1997.
Deadline reports that Tim Federle is directing the new film with Robin Schiff returning to write the screenplay.
The first film revolves around Kudrow and Sorvino’s characters, Romy and Michelle who, at their ten year high school reunion, make up details about their lives in order to impress their former classmates. We are presuming that the new movie will again revolve around a reunion (maybe a 40th?).
No further details but shooting is potentially set to kick off in the summer in Los Angeles.
