Paul Greengrass’ next film is set to be a feature titled The Rage and it looks like it will be led by none other than Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey. The project is set to be shipped off to Berlin next week at the EFM which runs alongside the Berlin Film Festival.
According to Deadline, the film is a period piece set in the 14th Century, specifically in England during the Peasants’ Revolt in response to socio-economic and political tensions and high taxation. McConaughey will reportedly play a farmer who leads the uprising.
The film was previously titled The Hood. Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions is producing with Greengrass directing and writing the screenplay.
