The official 007 social channels have announced that David Heyman and Amy Pascal will produce a new James Bond film for Amazon MGM Studios.
It seems that Amazon are wanting to move forward on a new 007 movie as soon as possible with the announcement of the new producers after the legendary Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson handed creative control over to the company.
āJames Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema,ā said Amy Pascal and David Heyman. āWe are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honoured and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.ā
Heyman has the likes of all eight Harry Potter movies on his producing resume, as well as the first two Paddington movies and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, among dozens of others. Pascal was Chairperson of the Motion Pictures Group of Sony Pictures Entertainment and has produced everything from 2016’s Ghostbusters to The Post, the most recent Spider-Man movies and Challengers, which was housed at Amazon MGM Studios.
