Ari Aster’s new film ‘Eddington’ gets a debut teaser trailer

Heading to Cannes next month is Ari Aster’s new film Eddington and here’s the first teaser trailer for it courtesy of the fine folks at A24.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal and is both written and directed by Aster, his fourth feature following Hereditary, Midsommar and Beau Is Afraid.

In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.

The cast also includes Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Austin Butler and Emma Stone.

The film was announced for Cannes’ official selection at the end of last week and is Aster’s first film to play at the prestigious festival in the South of France.
