Dakota Johnson-led Cannes debuting ‘Splitsville’ gets a release date

We’ve just learned that upcoming feature Splitsville, which is led by Dakota Johnson, is getting a U.S. release this summer.

The movie will premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival later this month. Adria Arjona, Kyle Marvin, Nicholas Braun, David Castañeda, Charlie Gillespie, Simon Webster, Stephen Adekolu, Tyrone Benskin and O-T Fagbenle also star alongside Michael Angelo Covino who also directs the film. The logline is as follows:

When Ashley (Arjona) asks for a divorce, the good-natured Carey (Marvin) runs to his friends, Julie (Johnson) and Paul (Covino), for support. Their secret to happiness is an open marriage; that is, until Carey crosses the line and throws all of their relationships into chaos.

The film will debut on U.S. screens on 22nd August. No specific UK release as yet but we’ll keep you posted.
