Check out this full trailer for Eddington, the new film from acclaimed filmmaker Ari Aster. This one landed at the Cannes Film Festival last month and will continue on the festival circuit this summer before landing in U.S. cinemas in mid-July.
In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico. Also among the cast of the film is Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Austin Butler and Emma Stone.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this when I saw it in Cannes, but there was some reasonably good buzz around town for it after the premiere.
This lands on U.S. screens on 18th July.
