A new trailer has just dropped for Tony, the Anthony Bourdain biopic due in cinemas later this summer. Bourdain was an American chef, author, and television host who became one of the most influential food and travel storytellers of his generation. He passed away in June 2018 while filming an episode of his hugely popular travel/ food show, Parts Unknown, in France. He was 61 years old.
Tony is the origin story of the much-revered figure, brought to the screen by director Matt Johnson (BlackBerry, Nirvanna the Band the Show). The cast includes Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers) as Bourdain, Emilia Jones (CODA), Dagmara Domi?czyk (Succession), Rich Sommer (Mad Men), Stavros Halkias (Bugonia), Leo Woodall (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) and Antonio Banderas (Babygirl).
The official synopsis is as follows:
A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.
