Trekkie fans who’ve been using Paramount Pictures and Qualcomm’s interactive Star Trek Into Darkness app have discovered new stills from the upcoming sequel, again directed by J.J. Abrams. The crew of the Starship Enterprise will face the wrath of Khan as Benndict Cumberbatch’s mystery villain looks to have his revenge on Kirk. The plot for the film is still being kept under wraps, while the aforementioned British thespian is still being rumoured for the role of Khan no matter how many times Paramount give us the name, John Harrison.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will see the return of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, alongside newcomers Noel Clarke, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The film hits US IMAX cinemas from the 15th May, going wide on the 17th. However, us lucky Brits will see it released a week earlier on the 9th May.
