We reported on Tuesday that Chloe Grace Moretz was in talks to join Charlize Theron in DARK PLACES. It now looks as if the duo will be joined by WARM BODIES star Nicholas Hoult, who appears to have signed onto the project.
Based on a book written by Gillian Flynn and to be directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, DARK PLACES sees Theron play Libby Day, a lady who has to face her horrifying past and testify against her brother as the murderer of their family. 25 years later and the psychopath seems to have gained some followers in the form of The Kill Club, who try to prove his innocence. Moretz is set to play a character called Diondra, although it is unclear who Hoult will feature as.
Hoult has proved his worth over the years, starring in indie projects such as ABOUT A BOY, all the way up to Hollywood blockbusters like JACK THE GIANT SLAYER. It’ll be good to see him take on something slightly darker and more mysterious.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
