Natalie Portman is ‘The Other Woman’

Released in the wee small hours of this morning is the first one sheet and trailer for Natalie Portman’s new feature, THE OTHER WOMAN.

The film is an adaptation of the book LOVE AND OTHER IMPOSSIBLE PURSUITS about;

Emilia (Natalie Portman) is a Harvard law school graduate and a newlywed, having just married Jack (Scott Cohen), a high-powered New York lawyer, who was her boss — and married — when she began working at his law firm. Unfortunately, her life takes an unexpected turn when Jack and Emilia lose their newborn daughter. Emilia struggles through her grief to connect with her new stepson William (Charlie Tahan), but is finding it hard to connect with this precocious child. Perhaps the most difficult obstacle of all for Emilia is trying to cope with the constant interferences of her husband’s angry, jealous ex-wife, Carolyn (Lisa Kudrow).

Aside from Portman the film also stars; Lisa Kudrow (FRIENDS), Daisy Tahan (13) and Lauren Ambrose (SIX FEET UNDER). Imdb stills titles the film, the same as the book and states the release date to be the end of October 2010. However the film has obviously been pushed back and is now looking at a February 4th 2011 release.

While Portman will undoubtedly be taking a break from acting due to her up coming marriage and being pregnant we won’t be missing her, starring in six films, THE OTHER WOMAN, THOR, HESHER, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, YOUR HIGHNESS and BLACK SWAN.
