Last week, I managed to grab a few words with Aaron Eckhart at the European premiere of his new film OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN. While the actor spoke mostly about his part as the US President in that movie, he also touched upon his work in a project entitled I, FRANKENSTEIN, where plays Frankenstein’s monsters. Eckhart mentioned that he expected the film to be released in the Fall, but an article over at Deadline today reveals that the film will debut on January 24 2014, in 3D (North America).
Synopsis: Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
The film also stars Aden Young (as Victor Frankenstein), Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, and Caitlin Stasey. Stuart Beattie adapts from the graphic novel of the same name by Kevin Grevioux, and also directs.
There is no news on an official UK release, but expect it around the same time.
