There may not have been a lot of news concerning a release date for Bong Joon Ho’s SNOWPIERCER, but the latest character posters promise a Summer 2013 release date in South Korea at least. The film will see Bong Joon Ho dabbling in ENglish language cinema for the first time, although he’s brought along some old friends including Korean megastar Song Kang Ho and Ko Ah Sung. The rest of the cast is filled with a range of British and American actors, all of whom are represented in the character posters below. SNOWPIERCER is about the human race forced to live on a train that makes its way through an ice age. On the train, a class struggle could soon escalate into a rebellion.
As a massive fan of Bong, this will most definitely be one of my favourite films of the year. The shroud of secrecy that surrounds the project just makes it even more intriguing.
SNOWPIERCER is yet to receive a release date, but should be approaching around summer. It stars Chris Evans, Song Kang Ho, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, John Hurt, Ewen Bremner, Ko Ah Sung, and Alison Pill.
