THE FANTASTIC FOUR will be getting a fresh and fabulous reboot for Fox in 2015. Fox started production on X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST earlier this week, and their other big Marvel franchise needs a boost after the critical mauling the first two adaptations faced. THE FANTASTIC FOUR will start filming on June 17th, despite having not confirmed a single cast member yet. This probably means that we’ll be seeing some big news in the near future. The film will begin production under the working title of ‘Henry Street’. Director of superhero found-footage film CHRONICLE, Josh Trank, takes over the franchise, and will probably be giving us a more serious and darker version.
Also in the world of superhero production dates, Joss Whedon has announced a February 2014 start date for THE AVENGERS 2, and has also hinted that there are certain elements which he wished to add into the first film but didn’t fit, but says they will incorporated into the sequel.
THE FANTASTIC FOUR is eyeing a 6th March 2015 release date with THE AVENGERS 2 on 1st May 2015.
