DIVERGENT is set to be the next big YA (that’s ‘Young Adult’ for you guys who aren’t hip and happening young adults) adaptation of a popular series of novels. The story takes place in a world where teenagers must choose a faction to join upon hitting the age of 16. Future Mary Jane Watson, Shailene Woodley, takes on the lead role with Kate Winslet as the antagonist. We can now take a look at the first image released, which sees Woodley being the target for some knife throwing practice. I’d like to say that I intend to read the books before the release of the film, but I rarely have the time. But I thought about it, and isn’t that enough?
DIVERGENT is set for release on 21st March 2014. It shall star Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Jai Courtney, and Zoe Kravitz.
