It’s just after midnight here in the UK, and we’ve just heard that the brand new trailer for new actioner WHITE HOUSE DOWN has just landed over at MSN! The film stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, and is directed by German helmer Roland Emmerich, and lands in cinemas in the UK on September 6th.
We’re hearing some pretty good things about this, and what with OLMYPUS HAS FALLEN opening the blockbuster season, the similarly themed WHITE HOUSE DOWN could be the perfect end to the summer. Bookends!
Here’s the synopsis:
In Columbia Pictures’ White House Down, Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save his daughter, the president, and the country. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich, written by James Vanderbilt, and produced by Bradley J. Fischer, Harald Kloser, James Vanderbilt, Larry Franco, and Laeta Kalogridis.
