New Trailer Hits For Brit Crime Thriller ‘The Liability’

We get too many British crime capers that never reach the heights of the earlier genre classics they’re obviously inspired by. While we’d all love them to as memorable as THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY, GET CARTER or SNATCH, more often than not we get cheap Nick Love knock-offs, where everyones a “faaaackin’ caaant!” Usually it’s Danny Dyer, Adam Deacon or the even more desperate, Simon Phillips, in yet another Essex Boys adaptation.

However, what director Craig Viveiros has in his favour with THE LIABILITY is a top cast, thankfully involving non of the above. The ever-excellent Tim Roth leads as an aging hit man who is asked by his mobster employer to complete a job alongside 19-year-old Adam. Unfortunately, the simple hit gets a little complicated when the youngsters eyes are opened to the nightmarish world of murder, sex trafficking and blood-curdling revenge.

The film co-stars rising acting talent Jack O’Connell and Talulah Riley, alongside seasoned veterans Peter Mullan, Jack McBride and Kierston Wareing. Check out this first trailer with the film arriving in UK cinemas from 17th May. Click on this link to find the first clip.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
