Watch The Emotional Trailer For ‘I Am Breathing’ And Get Involved!

Friday 21st June will not be a normal kind of Friday. It will be the day when thousands of people across the globe get to watch I AM BREATHING, the emotional new documentary film by Emma Davie and Morag McKinnon.

Focusing on the last few months of Neil Platt’s life, I AM BREATHING documents how he copes with being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and the effect it has on his body. Neil went from being a healthy, active new dad to not being able to move his own limbs. As his body becomes weaker, Neil has to decide how to leave a mark of himself for his son; what should he put in his letter? What will Oscar want to know? But however sad his situation may be, Neil deals with his disease with incredible courage and humour.

With this being an independent project, I AM BREATHING needs your help. Click through here to visit the website where you can, if possible, volunteer to screen the film. People in Russia, India, America and Brazil have all offered to screen it, and with more people seeing it the better.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
