Roland Emmerich will set about destroying the familiar address of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue yet again in upcoming explosive new actioner WHITE HOUSE DOWN. The film stars Channing Tatum as a rookie cop coming to the aide of Jamie Foxx’s helpless Commander-In-Cheif, when heavily armed terrorist invaders come calling! Just don’t call it OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN 2.
We have a brand new featurette looking at the making of the film, as well as a slight variation on the one-sheet featured here, just below the official synopsis, which is as follows:
In Columbia Pictures’ White House Down, Capitol Policeman John Cale has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer. Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save his daughter, the president, and the country.
WHITE HOUSE DOWN also co-stars Jason Clarke, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Maggie Gyllenhaal and hits US cinemas from June 28th and the UK 6th September

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
