Now here’s a book adaptation that we are excited to see! It was revealed that 20th Century Fox are very close to requiring the rights to the CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE series. The books were huge in the 80s, giving the reader the chance to be the protagonist in the novels as the reader choose where the story went next.
Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox are attached as producers, and they hope to make the movie adaptation of the books a ‘crossplatform four-quadrant action-adventure franchise.‘ But obviously the next step for the studio is trying to figure out what one of the amazing stories will make it to the big screen. There was 185 books by Edward Packard and R.A. Montgomery and that is not including the various spin offs the series had.
But this isn’t the first time that somebody has pushed for a CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE movie either, back when she had a producing deal with Fox, she tried to get the project off the ground too. But as it seems like everything is possible in movies these days, it would be the perfect time for the project to start.
