Extra Dates Added For J.J. Abrams ‘Star Trek’ Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Before you scroll down to our previous article, it’s just been announced that due to huge demand, The Royal Albert Hall have added a matinee performance of STAR TREK followed by an evening performance of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, meaning that fans can experience both films back to back on the same day and watch Abrams’ blockbuster films with Giacchino’s scores performed live on stage on Saturday May 31, 2014! Following up from our previous announcement that the glorious Royal Albert Hall it set to screen J.J. Abrams STAR TREK on the big screen with a live orchestra, they’ve added STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS the evening after – we’re a bit excited!

On May 30th, 2014, the Royal Albert Hall will host the UK premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness – Live in Concert, giving fans old and new a unique chance to experience Abrams’ newest blockbuster film with Giacchino’s score performed live on stage.

With Star Trek fever at an all-time high, due to Abrams’ rebooted film franchise and this most recent film, these live concerts will feature Giacchino’s score brought to life on stage by the 21^st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, while the films are shown in high definition on the big screen, in the majestic surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall. Under license by CBS Consumer Products, the concert explores the collaborative relationship between music and storytelling that is a must for movie lovers.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS recently debuted at No.1 at both the U.S. and UK box office, and has already earned $440 million worldwide, which is pretty impressive and THN loved it as much as the rest of you!
