Yesterday saw THN bring you the first official look at Marc Webb’s comic-book sequel THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, with Andrew Garfield’s masked superhero puffing chests with Jamie Foxx’s Elecro-fying new nemesis Max Dillon. With San Diego’s iconic Comic Con just around the corner and THN attending, things are hotting up for the arrival the cast and crew of most upcoming blockbusters and certainly Webb’s film is going to be much anticipated amongst the masses there. So, here we bring you the first set of official stills, featuring the heroes, villains and those caught in between, courtesy of the Entertainment Weekly.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is released 2nd May 2014. It co-stars Emma Stone, Sally Field, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Dane DeHaan and Felicity Jones.
