Vampires and Werewolves are definitely not dying out as HBO have announced that they’ll be renewing everybody’s favourite fangbanging show TRUE BLOOD for season seven. Executive producer Brian Buckner will return as showrunner after he took the show’s creator Alan Ball place for season six.
You usually find that shows almost heading into double digit seasons usually have some decrease in viewers, but the successful HBO show is still staying strong, averaging almost 10 million viewers an episode.
HBO programming president Michael Lombardo had this to say:
“TRUE BLOOD remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers, Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
TRUE BLOOD season seven, based on the novels by Charlaine Harris, will return Summer 2014.
