Comic Con: ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Screens Early Footage

One of the best things, and indeed one of the most surprising to be screened at this year’s Comic Con was footage from the upcoming Summer 2014 Marvel movie GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Despite it only just literally starting shooting in London (14 days ago), director James Gunn and his cast flew all of the way to San Diego for just a couple of hours to deliver a very early teaser trailer for the film to an ecstatic San Diego audience.

Gunn and stars Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Benicio del Toro, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Pratt all entered the Hall to rapturous applause.

The clip included quite a lot actually, considering it only starting shooting a couple of weeks ago, including completed CGI shots. Peter Serafinowicz features in the clip playing an associate of John C’ Reilly’s character, who sadly didn’t make the trip to California. Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot also feature in the teaser in a funny ‘usual suspects’ line-up, which is actually featured in the Marvel released concept art, which you can see below.

The teaser was funny, exciting and worthy of a very prominent slot at this year’s Comic Con, and Chris Pratt is seemingly perfectly cast as the wise-cracking Peter Quill/ Star Lord. You are all going to love this! Here’s the logo and concept art, all released today.
