We all knew that Robert Rodriguez was planning a TV show based on his 1996 movie FROM DUSK ‘TIL DAWN, and it looks like it may go into production sooner than we think; this October. Production Weekly updated their Twitter page over the weekend with the following:
“The TV adaptation of @Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino‘s FROM DUSK TILL DAWN for @Elreynetwork will begin filming in Austin mid-October.”
El Rey is an English language American cable television network targeting Latino audience which will be launched in 2014 in a deal with Comcast. Rodriguez is behind the new network and FROM DUSK ‘TIL DAWN could be one of the first shows to air on it.
No news as to whether Rodriguez will helm the pilot, or if any of the original cast members will return. We’re guessing not.
