Teaser To Sequel ‘Monsters: Dark Continent’

Gareth Edwards may not be returning to handle the sequel to his 2010 gem MONSTERS, as he has a much bigger monster to contend with in GODZILLA. However, MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT is on its way and will be directed by newcomer Tom Green, who we assume is not the same guy from ROAD TRIP. This teaser shows us very little (some would argue, nothing at all) but it is certainly in keeping with the tone of the original. You can take a look at the teaser below.

The story is said to see a soldier enter the infected zone to rescue a buddy and colleague of his. I don’t think MONSTERS needs a sequel, but at the same time I want to know more about the universe in which it is set.

MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT will be released in 2014. It will star Joe Dempsie, Johnny Harris, Sofia Boutella, Nicholas Pinnock, and Parker Sawyers.
