Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are the acting/directing equivalent to the classic American sandwich peanut butter and jelly – they go together so well and everyone knows it, even if they don’t appreciate it. Over the years I’ve really come to appreciate both men for their respective, separate works but there’s something so exciting about seeing them work together, knowing something amazing is about to be released. That ‘something amazing’ looks as if it’s going to be THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.
Based on the life and love (of money) of sneaky stockbroker Jordan Belfort, DiCaprio plays our hard-to-like protagonist, a man so cunning he managed to suck $100 million out of investors before he was caught. Co-starring Matthew McConaughey, Jon Favreau, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin and many others, this is going to be one epic biopic and will surely sit comfortably amongst Leo and Martin’s previous collaborations, including GANGS OF NEW YORK, THE AVIATOR, THE DEPARTED and SHUTTER ISLAND.
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET is set to hit US cinemas from 15th November 2013, while us Brits will have to wait until 17th January 2014.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
