MADE IN AMERICA, Jay-Z’s superfestival that took place in Philadelphia last year, saw him performing alongside fantastic acts (PEARL JAM, SKRILLEX, RUM-DMC, DRAKE) and some not-so-fantastic acts (RITA ORA and, uhh, RITA ORA), and the first trailer for its big-screen performance has arrived. Director Ron Howard has followed the path of ol’ Martin Scorsese and turned his talent to gigs, much like Marty did with SHINE A LIGHT – an intimate look into THE ROLLING STONES as they toured.
The movie, much like the festival, was executive produced by the rapping entrepreneur himself, and accompanies the onstage antics with behind-the-scenes footage and personal interviews with audience members. Expect to see the documentary premiere at TIFF 2013, followed by its arrival on SHOWTIME on October 11th.
