With DOCTOR WHO’s 50th Anniversary year in full swing, having completed its seventh revived series and casting Matt Smith’s replacement Peter Capaldi, the show has received more attention than ever before and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
Earlier this year it was announced that Matt Smith would be leaving the BBC’s flagship science fiction drama in pursuit of a Hollywood career, and his final episode will air this Christmas following the shows feature length 50th anniversary special. Smith’s penultimate episode and 50th Anniversary special will air 23rd November and also star David Tennant and John Hurt, before Peter Capaldi takes over the reigns of the TARDIS in this year’s festive special.
Now comes word that the Cybermen will be the eleventh Doctors final adversary in his swansong episode. The rumor comes from stunt woman Darrelle Parker who claimed on her twitter that she has been cast as a Cyberman. Here is what the tweet says:
Great to be stunting again for Dr Who in the Christmas special playing a Cyberman! pic.twitter.com/KslWbQdkWr

It remains to be seen if this is true, however the Cybermen seem just as likely as any other DOCTOR WHO monster to take on Smith’s eleventh Doctor in his final battle, given that the anniversary special already includes his most famous adversaries, the Daleks. As always we will update you as we get them.
