Here’s a set of unrelated posters for some interesting upcoming releases. CAPTAIN PHILLIPS tells the true story of the brave man who stood up to Somali pirates that boarded his ship. The poster simply adds Tom Hanks’ face to the original one sheet, because all films could use a bit more star power. Ron Howard’s RUSH is another true story, this time focusing on the Formula 1 rivalry between James Hunt (Chris Hemsowrth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl). This German poster shows a lot of serious arm-folding. Finally we have two posters for I DECLARE WAR, in which a group of young boys who like to play war soon find themselves resorting to real violence. One simple, but effective poster shows a number of weapons made from twigs.
I DECLARE WAR is currently playing in Limited Release in the US, with a UK date yet to be nnounced. RUSH is released 13th September in the UK and 20th September in the US. CAPTAIN PHILLIPS is released on 11th October in the US and 18th October in the UK.
