Rachel McAdams’s appearance in the in-production Sherlock Holmes 2 has been confirmed by Warner Brothers. The actress, who played Irene Adler in the first movie, will return for a cameo in the sequel, which once again stars Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock, and Jude Law as Dr. Watson.
The new movie also stars Noomi Rapace, the girl with the dragon tattoo Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, as well as Stephen Fry, who plays Mycroft (Holmes’s brother) and Jared Harris who plays arch-nemesis Moriarty.
Guy Ritchie once again directs.
