New information for the upcoming Samuel L. Jackson film BIG GAME has emerged as a Facebook page dedicated to the film has popped up and keeping fans updated with announcements and on-location videos. Jackson will be joined by Jim Broadbent, Ray Stevenson and Mehmet Kurtulus but the real intriguing news is about the film’s plot. Samuel Jackson will play the President of the United States and team up with a thirteen year old sidekick to survive terrorist who bring down Air Force One.
Not too eccentric considering this is coming from Jalmari Helander, the head of the team behind the bizarre RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE which saw a team of people disturbing and having to hunt down what appears to be an evil incarnation of Santa Claus (details spared for the spoiler-phobic of you readers). BIG GAME will see RARE EXPORTS cast member Onni Tommila as a kid who, as a rite of passage, must spend a night out in the wilderness alone. He must return with a prize to prove himself as a man and just happens to find the crashed escape pod of the US President.
Details of other cast members’ characters is slim so far, but the film appears to be getting some big names and looks to land as a somewhat alternative to your usual action flick. Stay tuned as more news is announced.
