Creepy Trailer For ‘The Last Days On Mars’

The first trailer for THE LAST DAYS ON MARS has surfaced, and it is looking exceptionally dark and creepy. Not only that, but there is a very strong ALIEN vibe we’re getting, that even the ALIEN prequel PROMETHEUS missed out on. I hope THE LAST DAYS ON MARS follows the pacing of the trailer, with a slow build-up to an inevitable barrage of pain and suffering. I’m cheery.

The film sees the first astronauts on Mars about to leave the red planet, but just like a cop on his last day of retirement, all the human waste is about to hit the fan. Liev Schreiber leads the doomed astronauts, as virus begins to take control of them. There looks to be some face melting and chest bursting action, which has proved a winning formula for sci-fi horror in the past. It also feels very claustrophobic, which always makes me unsettled.

I must say, it’s also great to see a British film looking so damn BIG in scope and execution.

LAST DAYS OF MARS is yet to receive a US release date, but should be in the UK on 19th September. It stars Liev Schreiber, Romola Garai, Elias Koteas, Olivia Williams, Johnny Harris, Goran Kostic, Tom Cullen, and Yusra Warsama.
