Next week sees the return of web series Mortal Kombat Legacy. The series directed by ex-choreographer Kevin Tancharoen was a big hit last time around, focussing on the origins of some of the franchises more popular characters. The popularity of the series led to talks about a new film.

Whilst promoting the second series Tancharoen has given a progress report on the likelihood of film:

‘We’re still pushing through on that. The script is in a good place, we’re just kind of figuring out the budget and locations and that whole process is where we’re at.’

He also confirmed that the film will be independent to the web series. The plan behind this is to have both go on for a long time. So what do you guys think are you ready for another MORTAL KOMBAT? More importantly who would you cast in the proposed reboot?
