‘Blair Witch’ Creator Sells Horrifically Creepy Film To Radar Pictures

THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT co-writer and co-director Daniel Myrick’s next independent film revolves around what has got to be one of the most pants-wettingly scary concepts I have read about.

The film is titled UNDER THE BED, the supposedly based-on-a-true-story script involves a stalker who secretly lives underneath the bed of his female victim before eventually emerging. What a truly horrific idea! The thought of a killer hiding somewhere within your own home and watching you is unbelievably scary and was perfectly presented in a chilling episode of ITV’s brilliant crime drama WHITECHAPEL. Having this idea at the core of Myrick’s indie horror-thriller looks to make for some seriously frightening viewing.

UNDER THE BED has been picked up by Radar Pictures (their most recent film being RIDDICK) and will be written and directed by Myrick. Ted Field and Mike Weber are on production duties with Shawn Papazian and executive producers are Tom van Dell, Eustace Hicks and Aldo LaPietra. Radar will represent the film’s domestic rights on behalf of the financiers, as they did with their successful film SPRING BREAKERS released earlier in the year.

The film is planned to get into production quickly and is set to begin casting immediately. Stay tuned to The Hollywood News for all the creepy news as it arrives.
